On July 26, U. S. Steel presented its proposal to the USW for the next Collective Bargaining Agreement.
We said you’d be among the best paid workers in the industry, and this proposal reflects that. The 4-year proposal includes 11% guaranteed wage increases over the life of the contract. If a tentative agreement is reached on or before September 1, 2022, bargaining unit employees will receive a $3,000 bonus. We’ve also included a $4,000 Essential Employee Appreciation Bonus.
And our proposal maintains our current uncapped profit-sharing plan, inflation recognition plan, and our fully-funded pension. When we do well, you do well.
